AGES goals: Promotion of geophysics, geo- and environmental sciences in the society. Promotion is performed through lectures, courses, workshops and conferences, but also publishing activities (journals, monographs), exhibitions, etc.; promotion of geophysics, geo- and environmental sciences among students and young scientists, as well as their involvement into all AGES activities; cooperation with national and international institutions directed to geophysics, geo- and environmental sciences; cooperation with scientific societies (EAGE, EneRG, BGS, SEG, SPE, AAPG, EGU, IUGS, IUGG); support to all members in their scientific and practical development; long-life education for all members by foreign and national experts; participation in projects and consulting activities; establishing foundation for awards to distinguished AGES members and as support to student mobility and their participation in international conferences.
